An integrated, relational, strengths-based practice framework informs my approach to supervision. I aim to listen carefully, to create a nurturing space for you to explore your professional identity and reflect on client work. I have a warm, encouraging interpersonal manner, affirming your needs and existing knowledge and asking questions to help integrate further understanding.
Sessions can include critical reflection on successes, challenges and/or stress associated with human service work and organisational dynamics. I am keen to learn about the framework used in your workplace, exploring the approaches you prefer and those you feel challenged by. Links are made with social work values (human rights, social justice, professional integrity), theories, skills and interventions.
I specialise in ethics consultation and ethical decision-making. I provide structured ethics audits to organisations and those in private practice as well as support in responding to client complaints.
Sessions can focus on specific competence goals, structured case reviews, discussions of evidence-informed practice including in the area of mental health, psychosocial assessment, assessment of risk and protective factors, and duty of care decisions. We can explore career development, problem solving, and wellbeing.
